April is national child abuse prevention and awareness month. What are you doing on April 14 for lunch? I’ll be at a fashion show benefitting the children at the Childhelp Village. The weather was perfect for the Kappa Delta 5K for Childhelp. Sunny, with a slight breeze. Last year, they raised over $11,000 toward the treatment and prevention of child abuse. They hope to raise more this year. But it was mire than a 5K, it was days of advocacy and awareness about child abuse and neglect. On Wednesday night, the men from the fraternity’s completed in a talent contest, on Thursday it was a visit to the Lisa Project. Visitors heard the story through children’s voices and on Friday night they gave power point educational presentations.
