Please attend the 2012 annual Route 66 Rendezvous in San Bernardino, CA. There has been discussion about stopping this event, so if you are a classic car owner/lover, please register for a contest. If you love classic cars or what Route 66 represents, please come to this weekend and show your support for a fabulous tradition. Car buffs from all around the country have been coming to it for years, and I hope the Rendezvous will continue for many years to come.
The sponsors provided maps so you can find it easily. It’s not hard to miss, they boast 35 blocks of fun! You can walk around downtown and ask owners about their: 65 Chevy, 1920’s Model T, their baby blue T-Bird, or their cherry red Corvette. Maybe you just like muscle cars, or like my nephew, you like all cars. Thanks to Pixar, I bet is a whole new generation of classic car lovers.
During the day there are burn out contests, a bike stunt show, a model car contest, poker run, a 5K on Sunday. You may just want to take a day to check out all the vendors. Come for lunch and stay for dinner, just to listen to the evening bands. It’s basically a giant 4 DAY FREE street party.
