I’m hitting the road for NMX in Las Vegas! In short, New Media Expo is about the future of content, community and commerce. While I am not lucky enough to test drive (and blog about) a new Audi like Amber Osborne & Nate – I am pretty darn excited to be driving my 9 year old convertible Sebring, “Apple”. She is paid off, has low miles and will be put to some good use on that long stretch of road from SoCal. I won’t even be distracted by the outlet stores. Nope! I’m on a mission, because I’m meeting a PHS pal for dinner tonight.
Last year, I hung with Mari Smith, Guy Kawasaki, Peter Shankman, Marsha Collier and the uber-cool #UsGuys IRL. (I’ll come back to update with everybody’s twitter handle or FB addy later). I learned a ton of things about social media marketing and new social applications that were introduced to the market, and came home with so much swag, I needed another bag (I’m wearing my favorite Word Press shirt as I type). I’m not sure which I liked better, the lectures or the vendors….
So, this year NMX is in Las Vegas, and I’m starting the weekend off with a reunion with a HS buddy. Hoping to catch a show, because one of the perks is 30% to Cirque! I’m also looking forward to meeting Jay Baer, Bob Fine & Sam Fiorella; all strategists and authors I dig, support & read regularly.
I’ll do my best to blog while I am there and give you all some updates, but last year I was pretty engrossed in other things….
