For years, Kappa Delta sororities across the country have raised money for the prevention of child abuse as a major philanthropy project. Join the CSU San Bernardino chapter on Saturday, March 10, 2012 Coupled with free parking, breakfast snacks and fun things for children, it is a fun family outing.
Each Registered participant will receive: complimentary on campus parking, a light energizing breakfast, a participant shirt, lunch for additional donations, and be offered a chance to win a great assortment of raffle prizes for an additional donation.
Last year’s event raised over $12,000 for the prevention and treatment of child abuse. 80% of the funds stay in the community and support Childhelp Village in Beaumont. Childhelp Inc. financial overhead is low, and over 90% of the monies contributed to Childhelp goes to provide direct services to Childhelp children and families. Child abuse cases are rising as much as 40% from prior years, due in part to the economy, and the cases we’re seeing are more severe. The demand for Childhelp Inc services has increased much faster than our current resources can support. The remaining 20% will be going toward Prevent Child Abuse America.
Child abuse is a preventable problem and we ask two things from you: First, join the Shamrock & Roll on 3/10/12. Second, please continue to spread the word about our free 24 hour national hotline: 1-800-4-A-CHILD.
You may register online or the morning of the event.
